As most portraits are done by photo , we'll review the photographs you have had sent me or that I'll take {usually a couple rolls of film}. And we'll choose the images you feel most represent you and discuss the kind of portrait or painting you would like, casual or more formal, and what kind of expression or mood you would like dominating the spirit of the painting.
If living in the vicinity , a meeting is scheduled to find suitable composition, dress, etc. Includes photo shoot (1-1 1/2 hours) if applicable. Also planning each portrait for the client's lifestyle as well as for the most dramatic impact and appropriate ambience.
Working from photos has so many advantages especially holding a certain spark of energy of fleeting moments, and expressions, poses in different lighting that I can combine into a fuller expression, more often with more resonance than the original photo! And communicating by e-mail is so lightening fast that it's also an advantage.
Agreement & Order Form
Once the decision has been made to commission a fine art portrait or Old master Copie, Fresco or Floorcloth an agreement is prepared. The agreement will specify the number of subjects, and other details the artist and client have agreed on as well as size and price. These details are usually discussed on a telephone consultation and/or emails. The signed agreement should come with the deposit of fifty percent of the total price which can be paid by check or Click on the button below to use PayPal.

TERMS
The artist agrees to execute a hand painted classicial painting{ floor cloth , fresco ,nature-morte or narrative painting, old master copy,or any commissioned paintings} in oil on stretched canvas according to the above criteria, unless revisions have been agreed upon by both parties. A 50% deposit is always required with every order. Payment may be by check, money order, or credit card (MC, Visa, Discover, or American Express). via Pay Pal. The remaining 50% is due at the time of completionl. The artist will provide an email attachment or mail a photo of the finished painting prior to final payment. The artist reserves the right to photograph the painting for any future publicity purposes{ without using names or anything to identify the subject}. The artist will call and/or email you to discuss your portrait or dog painting in further detail if needed.
